Angel

Lord, she is so hurt.
It is like the world forgets her.
Then again, this life is not hers.
She is from heaven, not Earth.

Tell her what she gotta do to bear her cross.
Sometimes she does not feel found, she is lost.
Tell her what she gotta do to bear her cross.
What is the price she has to pay; the cost?

To God

Whenever they take from me, God blesses me.
Whatever they say about me, rolls off my back, baby.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
He protects me and my team, check out the roster.

Whenever they laugh at me, He elevates me.
Whatever they do behind me, does not concern me.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
He helps me stand tall when I fall, to God be the glory.

Birthday

Another year older,
Wishing she was colder.
She has been too nice.
Nobody has the capacity to hold her.

It has been a long year,
Wishing her friends were near.
They have been too aloof.
Who has the time to actually catch her tears?

Chosen

Feeling lonely.
Feeling forgotten.
Feeling invisible.
The feelings come up often.

Yet you took one look at me,
And saw beyond what lies on the surface.
You noticed I was in need,
And showed compassion versus judgment.

Stay Lost

Feeling so lonely,
Got no one to hold me.
Telling you my problems is
Like talking to a wall.

You do not understand me.
You do not break my fall.
I would rather stay quiet than
Be vulnerable at all.

Laughing when I get hurt,
Kicking me when I am down,
I deserve someone who values my worth.

And you do not,
You will not hear me out.
Stay lost ‘cause I do not want you around.

My Needs

I tell you I want space
Because I have been drained,
And you ignore my plea.
You disregard my needs.

I tell you I need care
Cause you have not been there,
And you ignore my plea.
You disregard my needs.
